Vicar

Matt has been vicar of St Matthew’s for 12 years. He is married to Jess, with two young children. Matt loves making music, walking, running, sharing good food with friends, movies, reading, real ale, his family and Jesus… but not necessarily in that order!

Helen Foster

Family Worker

Helen started as the family worker at St Matthew’s in 2025, but has been part of the church community for 10 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and is often found with a coffee or Crème Egg in hand.

This team is responsible for enabling the people of St Matthew’s to make the vision a reality.

They assist the clergy with the day-to-day running of the parish. They are the Bishop’s representatives in the parish

PCC - Parochial Church Council

This team are the elected trustees of St Matthew’s Church. They are responsible for setting out the vision of St Matthew’s as well as looking after the finances & fabric of the building.
